FRTR: Meet The Artists!Whether you are inspired by From Rags to Riches' up-cycled public artworks and you are an eco-friendly person, or you are just interested in up-cycling your own daily used products. Come and meet the artists behind FRTR for an open discussion on how they came up with their projects' ideas and the implementation process in a practical process. Also there will be a special talk about the "Adaptation" and "Women on the bench" projects by the artists Rania Atef and Akeel Khreef which are installed in the Corner Shop in Kodak Passageway.

The last 3 months were full of fresh, young and enthusiastic artists and volunteers working on the production of the artworks. And now, we are seeking volunteers to collaborate with us on the current phase of the project from Saturday 22 October to Sunday 6 November, 2016. The exhibition will be held at the garden of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Garden City FRTR is featured in Ba'a exhibition at Soma BayFrom Rags to Riches project was featured in Ba'a Exhibition at Soma Bay in Hurghada during the weekend of 6-8 October 2016, Peacock for Art organized an exhibition featuring 11 Egyptian contemporary artists at Soma Bay. A mobile exhibition was on display at the Sultan Lounge of the Kempinski Hotel, and some art works of up-cycled material were displayed at Robinson’s public beach.

Baad El Bahr: Cultural Development Presents its Last Project From Rags to Riches
BEBA is an Egyptian cultural association, whose key mission is to build bridges between cultures through the contemporary arts. As well as encouraging and supporting young artists, this also entails elaborating thinking strategies and organising exhibitions based on innovative concepts. The association organizes, on regular bases, workshops, conferences, exhibitions and long term activities such as the translation and publication of literary texts and the Cairo Mediterranean Literary Festival.
